Results from NPC Rwanda Athletics National Championship (PHASE2) Today, the 9th July, 2011 at Amahoro National Stadium, The NPC Rwanda organised the second phase of Athletics National Championship for People with disability. This phase has the main objective of qualifying participants to the Athletics National Team towards Maputo/Mozambique 2011 All African Games which will be in September, 2011. 40 Athletes in 2 categories of disability: Vision Impaired and Physical Disability) from 6 clubs participated in this phase. Those clubs are Gahini Secondary School which qualified 2 athletes with vision impaired in 100m/T11, HVP Rwamagana, Gicumbi District which qualified 1 Athlete in 1500m/T46, Musanze District which qualified 1 athlete in 100m/T46 Kigali which qualified 1 Athlete in 100m & 800m/T46, Kigali Institute of Education (KIE), and HVP Gatagara. Those qualified athletes will start very soon the preparations to All African Games and hopefully their will qualify for London 2012. The next phase will be organised in October 2011. Note that the championship will be organised every 3 months for qualifying more athletes in National Team.
