Athletics National Championship (PHASE2)

This Saturday the 9th July, 2011 NPC Rwanda will organise the second phase of National Championship in Athletics. NPC Rwanda has a plan to have every 3 months such competition so that the athletes may achieve the National Minimum Qualification Standards. Once the athlete achieve that NMQS will be automaticly in Athletics National Team.

All participants will be recorded in NPC Rwanda Database and very soon their results and ranking will be posted on NPC Rwanda website.

The athletes in national team will benefit more trainings and individual support which will help them to increase their level. In addition to that, they will be preparing for Regional, Continental and International Competitions in Athletics where they will achieve the international level (Professionals).

This National Program will increase the number of athletes with disabilities in Rwanda participating in sport, and will give more persons with impairement the opportunity to realise their dreams.

After this competition, best Athletes (who will achieve the national qualification standards) will be prepared for All African Games of Maputo/Mozamique in September 2011.
The next phase will be organised in October then the last phase in December, 2011. All competitions will organied at Amahoro National Stadium of Remera.
