2011 National Championship Sitball & Sitting Volleyball ended successfully
The last phase of 2011 National Championship of Siball and Sitting Volleyball took place at Rusizi District from 18-19 June, 2011 on Gihundwe Secondary School courts. All teams arrived on Friday evening for starting competition early morning of Saturday the 18th at 9h00 for finishing the Sunday 19th at 12h00.  Honorable Rwaka Pierre Claver handing the Cup to Intwari captain The best players for each category were awarded. Those players are: Agnes Nyirambarushimana from Gicumbi Sitball Team/Women category, Theogene HAKIZIMANA from Kivu Team in 1st Division Sitball/Men and Dominique BIZIMANA from Intwari Handisport Club in Sitting Volleyball. The winner for Sitball Women was GICUMBI Sitball Team, for Sitball Men/1st Division was Intwari Handisport Club, 2nd Division was Musanze Sitball Team, for Sitting Volleyball was Intwari. Read for final results  Mr.Gakuba Gaspard Gatege Rusizi Executive Secretary The Executive Secretary of Rusizi District Mr. GAKUBA Gaspard Gatege in his speech, he thanked very much the NPC Rwanda for bringing the final phase to Rusizi, regardless the long distance from other districts. He said that the District will increase its support to the promotion and development of sport for people with disability in Rusizi and will facilitate their participation in other sport events which will be organised for them.  The different guests and partners were presents. The guest of honor was Hon. RWAKA Pierre Claver the member of Parlement chamber of Deputies representing people with disability in Rwanda. He officially closed the National Championship by encouraging players to prepare for next year championship and giving them the secret of winning. "to be the champion is not easy, but is possible for any team. you have to train hard and regularly then you can reach it...". He said. He told the public about the Rights of people with disability and discarged the use of bad names to them. He thanked all players and coaches for their participation specially for the winners of 2011 National Championship Sitball and Sitting Volleyball Men & Women.  ONATRACOM Representative The NPC Rwanda president Mr. Dominique BIZIMANA awarded some partners for their good partnership they have with NPC Rwanda in organising and realizing the National championship. Those are Rusizi District, Rubavu District, Musanze District, SULFO and ONATRACOM which supported NPC Rwanda in transport for all phases.
