Nicolas Clark, the new NPC Rwanda Volunteer for two years


On 27th January, 2010 NPC Rwanda welcomed the new volunteer from VSO (Volunteer Services Overseas). Nicolas Clark will be working in NPC Rwanda as Management and Administration Coach. The main objective of working with NPC Rwanda is to improve the organisational development and facilitating the establishment of a strategic plan for NPC Rwanda.

At the end of 24 months in Rwanda working with NPC Rwanda Staff, he will build capacity of NPC Rwanda so that:

• Each volunteer on the committee is able to prepare project and activity proposals from conception to implementation including monitoring and follow up

• NPC is self sufficient through increased skills in publicity and raising awareness of disability sports/ marketing / seeking sponsorship for sporting events

• NPC has produced high quality manuals and training materials on disability sports in the form of publications, CDs, DVDs (with subtitles Kinyarwanda / English / Sign Language)

• The member sports clubs are active and gaining independenc

• NPC have clear records of their member sports clubs to enable further structures to develop (eg National Federations for each individual sport)
