Rwanda brought 6 Gold and 5 Silver medals from Great Lakes Open Athletics Championship in Nairobi/Kenya



For the first time, Great Lakes Region Hosted a qualifying competition to the 2010 IPC Athletics World Championship. Rwanda benefited much from this competition by qualifying 4 athletes to the World Championship in Christchurch/New Zealand.

In general Rwanda has 3 athletes qualified for World Championship with MINIMA (B) and 1 (a woman) with MINIMA (A).They arrived in Kigali on Friday, 27th August, 2010 at 2:30am
